Surf City Allstars Delivered!

Surf City Allstars brought the Beach Boys to Ridgecrest and in turn ended our 2018-2019 season with a bang! Our members and ticket holders started showing up as early as 6pm to get their best seats for the show and the early bird arrival turned out to be well worth it. The early arrivals were able to take advantage not only of their seat assignment, but were also able to take a look at all of the very pristine automobiles from the era that many of the Beach Boys hit songs were based around. The sea of chairs were rapidly filled as the beginning of the show neared. The dance floor off to the left of the audience was taken advantage of throughout the night and made for a memorable experience.
The lighting and drapery, provided by Stage Monkey’s, was on par and paired very well with the sound which was perfected by MC².

As with all of our shows this season, Mary Grimsley (IWVCA Board Secretary) led her team of volunteers in decorating the Desert Valley’s Hall and transporting everyone to the era of the Beach Boys. Take a look below at some of the automobiles that made the experience that much better. Thank you to all those that came to one of our shows this season and to our members for making it possible to bring these amazing acts to our little town. We will be bringing more entertainment like this next season so please spread the word that there’s now a reason to stay in town on the weekends!

Catapult was AMAZING!

The Desert Empire Fairgrounds was alive Thursday night as Catapult told many fantastic stories with their shadows! The Desert Valleys Hall never looked better all dressed up and was filled with drop jaws throughout the audience!

Seeing the Catapult team shift effortlessly into shape after shape was something to behold. Catapult proved to be more than just story tellers as the amount of running, flexing, and the ability to work hand in hand together was something only a truly fit and integrated team would be able to accomplish.

The show included stories which ranged from the traditional spy scene to the more real world bullying scenario. The stories were all fast paced, upbeat, and had happy endings. The Ridgecrest locals wore smiles and expressions of amazement throughout the entire show and realized that no longer would they have to drive 2-3 hours to enjoy some great family entertainment!

Take Three was a success!

Thank you everyone for helping make this event a huge success! We had a great showing and everyone enjoyed a fantastic show with a delicious meal. The concert was not only classy, but the music was out of this world!

Special thanks to Kimberly, owner of The Roaming Dog Kitchen, for making this special night very delicious! More thanks must be given to our entire serving staff, who were all volunteers sourced locally. They did an AMAZING job and we definitely look forward to working with them in the future.

We had a packed house at Sage Hall over at the Desert Empire Fairgrounds. With the new renovations and amazing decorations, the hall never looked so elegant!
